I’m a contractor, and one of the biggest headaches on job sites has always been getting power where I actually need it. Extension cords only go so far, and moving a heavy generator around usually meant I needed one or two extra people just to help with setup and transport.

Since getting the PowerBridge Pro, that problem is basically gone. It’s compact enough for me to handle on my own, and I can use my EV to power my tools almost anywhere on the job site.

For me, it’s not just more convenient — it saves labor, setup time, and the hassle of hauling a generator around all day. The PowerBridge Pro has made mobile job-site power much simpler.

I do a lot of outdoor photography, and power is always a pain when I’m shooting somewhere remote. Between camera batteries, my drone, laptop and lights, I used to bring multiple portable power stations just in case.

I have two EVs, a Tesla and a Mercedes EQB, and the PowerBridge Pro works with both of them. That has been a huge plus for me because I can just take whichever car I’m driving that day and use it to power or recharge my gear on location.

I carry a lot less backup power now, and I don’t have to think nearly as much about where the next outlet is. I originally bought the Pro as an emergency power solution, but it has honestly become one of the most useful things I bring on longer outdoor shoots.

I ordered the PowerBridge Pro in August while our area was hit by a hurricane and a week-long power outage. We have solar, but several days of heavy rain left our home battery running low.

Since our battery system accepts 240V single-phase input, I connected the PowerBridge Pro to my EV and charged the home battery at 240V/32A. It was simple, fast, and worked exactly as I hoped.

Whenever the car battery got low, I drove to a Supercharger, charged up, and came back with more energy for the house. During the entire week-long outage, I only needed to charge the car twice, and we were able to live almost normally without constantly shutting appliances off to save power.

The PowerBridge Pro is not cheap, but after relying on it during a real emergency, I can say it was absolutely worth it. Thank you, RoamEnergy, for giving EV owners a practical backup power option.

I have bought roam energy gen 1 recently for power outages I will have during hurricane season here in Florida. I have tested on window AC and refrigerator etc and it seems to work well. I have Tesla X 2022. This will be a great improvement over my gasoline generator. Great to see this type of device exist and this one seems to be the best one out there so far.

In June of this year, I bought a Roan inverter and had to use it for the first time during the early August wildfires in Oregon

Have the ability to use a battery of my three Tesla’s to run fridge and freezers and even a multi stage air conditioner was fantastic. It worked with the 3 Tesla that our family house which include a 2023 model Y with the fourth generation hardware., a 2026 model three and a 2026 model Y the setup was relatively intuitive but when I did have a question, their customer support was fantastic and they kept checking in to make sure everything was working well I basically just turned the device on. It’s important to power it for a few hours the first before the first time you use it then plug it into your Tesla and you’re often running. A couple of things that are in the instructions. I’ll make sure you’ve set your charging range to 100 if you can tune your amps down to 20 and make sure you’re scheduled charging times is also turned off.

Happy with my purchase.
RoamEnergy PowerBridge gen1 allows me to effectively expand my home power 3.8kWh battery backup (which is already feeding a transfer switch into 6 - 120v 15/20A circuits) for power outages. So the smaller battery that feeds the house can pull from the Tesla as it is drained by my home circuits. Sure, it's not 100% efficient charging one battery from another, but it's better than a generator chugging along spewing pollution, and solar is a bigger investment I can't do now.
It's a bit finicky to get going than say the KIA/Hyundai V2L adapter, but that's more due to Tesla. Once it's up and running, it just works.
I have not run it for extended periods, but had an outage just yesterday and had it running a few hours providing about 800w sustained to my home battery (and I should be able to boost the to 1600w if I needed quicker charge).
I had to update my older Model 3 for CCS, but that was a small investment.
Yes, the solution was more expensive than a generator, but cleaner and should be no maintenance.

Worked exactly as advertised and Roam was very responsive when I emailed for setup assistance.

Customer support is fantastic. I use it too power my Airstream travel trailer. It can run the air conditioning and all electrical systems. Great for overnight stops when I’m not in an RV park.

With 30A delivered by this discharger, normal use of the 110v appliances and LED lights in my house for 4 hours resulted in about a 20% depletion of the battery in my long range model Y. I expect that will easily last 12 hours before being recharged at a superstation. This is significantly longer than battery powered inverters costing 3 times as much. I really appreciated the prompt and helpful support from Lydia every time I had a question.

This thing is a steal. I guarantee if Tesla was to sell this it would be twice as expensive. Works flawlessly.
