Just received my 3,500 watt, Tesla Power Discharger from Roam Energy. This high-quality discharger came packaged very securely and works as advertised. I feel much better about the power outages that will continue to occur in our area by being prepared with access to our powerful Model Y battery to keep our refrigerators and freezers running when the grid goes down. This is a great step forward in emergency electrification!
With 30A of output, this discharger powered my 110V appliances and LED lights for 4 hours using only about 20% of my Model Y Long Range battery. I expect it could easily provide around 12 hours of backup before needing a recharge. That’s far better than battery-powered inverters costing three times as much. Lydia was also incredibly responsive and helpful whenever I had questions.
Customer support is fantastic. I use it too power my Airstream travel trailer. It can run the air conditioning and all electrical systems. Great for overnight stops when I’m not in an RV park.
