Is PowerBridge Pro safe to use with my EV?

Yes. PowerBridge Pro is designed as an external portable EV backup-power device for Tesla and validated compatible EVs. It works through the vehicle-side charging and communication pathway and does not require vehicle disassembly, rewiring, or permanent modification.

For safe use, always follow the user manual, stay within the rated output limits, keep the unit and connectors dry, and use properly rated cables and equipment.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

No. Under normal use, PowerBridge Pro should not affect your vehicle warranty because it is an external portable EV backup-power device. It does not require vehicle disassembly, rewiring, software modification, or any permanent change to the vehicle.

PowerBridge Pro works through the vehicle-side charging and communication pathway. For Tesla vehicles, it is not a stationary power source installed in the home, and it does not modify the vehicle’s battery system or software.

As with any EV accessory, always use PowerBridge Pro according to the user manual, rated output limits, and compatibility guidance.

Which EVs are compatible with PowerBridge Pro?

There are three ways to confirm whether your EV is compatible with PowerBridge Pro:

1. Open our Tested compatibility list and submit your vehicle information to check the result.
2. Search for your vehicle in our EV Compatibility page
3. Contact support team to confirm your vehicle before ordering.

If your vehicle has already been tested and listed as compatible, it can work with PowerBridge Pro. If your vehicle has not been tested yet, you may Contact support team to join our compatibility volunteer testing program.

What can I power with PowerBridge Pro?

PowerBridge Pro can power many plug-in appliances directly within its rated output limits, such as refrigerators, lights, routers, laptops, small appliances, power tools, camping equipment, and selected 240V single-phase equipment.

For plug-in appliances, no home electrical modification is required. Just stay within the rated output limits and use properly rated cables and equipment.

For U.S. home panel, generator inlet, transfer switch, interlock, or selected-circuit applications, PowerBridge Pro’s 240V output is single-phase 240V with no neutral. To use the full 240V / 7,500W output for a North American split-phase home electrical setup, an external split-phase autotransformer may be required to create 120/240V split-phase power.

Any setup involving a home electrical panel, generator inlet, transfer switch, interlock, selected circuits, or household wiring must be evaluated and installed by a licensed electrician according to local electrical codes.

Do I need installation or electrical modifications?

For plug-in appliances, no installation or electrical modification is required. PowerBridge Pro can be used as a portable EV backup-power device within its rated output limits.

For U.S. home panel, generator inlet, transfer switch, interlock, or selected-circuit setups, PowerBridge Pro’s 240V output is single-phase 240V with no neutral. To support a North American 120/240V split-phase home electrical setup, an external split-phase autotransformer may be required.

Any setup involving a home electrical panel, generator inlet, transfer switch, interlock, selected circuits, or household wiring must be evaluated and installed by a licensed electrician according to local electrical codes.

Can I use this during a power outage at home?

Yes. During a power outage, PowerBridge Pro can power plug-in appliances directly within its rated output limits, such as refrigerators, lights, routers, laptops, small appliances, power tools, camping equipment, and other essential loads.

For plug-in appliances, no home electrical modification is required.

For U.S. home panel, generator inlet, transfer switch, interlock, or selected-circuit applications, PowerBridge Pro’s 240V output is single-phase 240V with no neutral. To use the full 240V / 7,500W output with a North American 120/240V split-phase home electrical setup, an external split-phase autotransformer may be required.

How does this compare to gas generators or battery stations?

PowerBridge Pro is different from a gas generator or a traditional battery station. It does not store energy inside the unit and does not use fuel. Instead, it helps you access backup power from the EV battery you already own.

Compared with gas generators, PowerBridge Pro is quieter, produces no exhaust during use, and does not require gasoline storage.

Compared with many portable battery stations, PowerBridge Pro can access a much larger energy source because EV battery packs are typically much larger than standalone portable power stations.

It is designed for EV-based backup power during outages, camping, job sites, RV support, and essential loads.

What is your return and warranty policy?

PowerBridge Pro has recently completed its Kickstarter campaign, and we are now arranging production for pre-order customers.

During the current pre-order period, PowerBridge Pro is expected to be delivered before August 2026. As a pre-order bonus, U.S. orders include one extra year of extended warranty, a $129 value, for a total of 2 years of warranty coverage.

After the pre-order period ends, our standard policy will apply: 1-year limited warranty and 30-day return policy.

If you experience any issue, please contact RoamEnergy support and our team will help review your order, warranty status, and next steps.
